Hand-Wrapped Gemstones and Crystals are very special, and beautiful. They are delicate, simple and natural, yet stunning, bold and elegant all at the same time. They are magnetically colorful. Delicately interlinked threads of black, gold, silver, copper or rose colored wire looped, twisted and knotted to form the perfect showcase for gemstones and crystals by providing a bare minimum of coverage while locking the stone securely in place and allowing all of its brilliant faceting and fire to be seen from every angle. I see the delight my designs have brought to my family, friends and clients through their many compliments, stares, and orders. Hand-wrapped gemstones are very pretty. Very pretty things are pleasing.I am excited to share a design that brings to others the happiness and enjoyment I experience when wearing my hand-wrapped gemstones. When I walk into a room wearing a hand-wrapped gemstone necklace dripping with fine gemstones or crystals blazing in every color imaginable, the energy fields around me are brighter. The jewelry attracts people to me. They want to see it up close. The jewelry has a life of its own; I feel honored to be wearing such lovely one-of-a-kind creations.

My design showcases the entire stone from all angles. When you wear custom artist crafted jewelry you are supporting a centuries-old art of virgin jewelry design. When people see my designs they know they have seen no others like them. All stone-wraps are unique, individual and "one of a kind." DESIGN INSPIRATION: My design was inspired during a study of tribal architecture and tribal art. Early tribes developed unique "twisting, tying, knotting and looping techniques. They used skins, leaves, rocks, mud, and plant juices and resins to create and mold housing. My CrystalHugger TwistWrap™ stone-wrapping technique for jewelry design is inspired by the ingenuity of those early tribespeoples' use of twigs, vines, sticks, and bark. It is fascinating that early tribes at all four points across the planet (north, south, east and west) were (simultaneously, and unbeknownst to one another) developing unique tools and methods of twisting, weaving, banding, tying and knotting to create roofing, clothing, flooring, support structures, ceremonial coverings, moccasins, baskets, and much more.
THE WRAPPING OF GEMSTONES AND CRYSTALS: It is exciting to teach the design and see how the beauty of the finished product causes both talented artisans and budding beaders to "beam" with pride at the creation. Then they put it on and the pleasure is purely spiritual, as this jewelry has suhc a natural and earthy appeal while at the same time showcasing the shimmer, sparkle and fire of the stones. The design makes a wonderful gift! Owning an item of jewelry made for you with love by the hands of someone special to you is priceless. Understanding
Metalurgic AllergiesWhether Platinum, Rhodium Platinum, Gold overlay, Goldtone, Vermeil, or 18 solid kt./14 kt. gold, it is important to note that jewelry items come in varying overlay or coating finishes over varying base metals, depending on the manufacturer. Most jewelry items have a metal base of .925 sterling silver, with a Platinum Rhodium plating. However, other items may have bases composed of copper and nickel with a 18 kt. or 14 kt. gold or Rhodium overlay. When jewelers speak of white gold, they really mean white gold alloy, because real gold is always yellow. CrystalsCrystals.com uses copper, gild filled and stermling silver wire. IMPORTANT: PLEASE CAREFULLY ASCERTAIN WHICH METALS AND METAL FINISHES YOUR SKIN CAN TOLERATE. CARE AND CLEANING OF HAND-WRAPPED GEMSTONES AND CRYSTALS: Do not engage in strenuous activities, sleep, bathe, suntan, sauna or spa in hand-wrapped gemstones and crystals. Jewelry should never be heaped in with a pile in a jewelry box or drawer. Protect your jewelry items, including all hand-wrapped gemstones and crystals from perfumes, detergents, household and other harsh products to protect their beautiful, shiny, smooth finish. Your fine jewelry should be the last thing you put on, and the first thing you take off. To clean your gemstones and crystals, wet a soft cloth with one part jewelry cleaner and one part water and gently wipe the front and back of you hand-wrapped gemstones to return the lustrous sparkle to your stone. A very soft small brush (an eyebrow brush works well) can be used to gently wipe over the wires to remove oil, dirt or other residue that may become trapped between the wires. We suggest storing these delicate items in the breathable bag which accompanies your order. Care instructions are included with your order.
